Welcome to RedFlag. Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using our website, web app, or any of our services (collectively, "Services"). By using RedFlag, you agree to be bound by these Terms and to comply with all applicable Australian laws and regulations.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Services.
1. About RedFlag
RedFlag is an AI-powered platform that helps users detect signs of coercive control and abuse through the analysis of written communication (e.g. chat screenshots, texts). Our mission is to support early intervention through private, anonymous, and educational tools.
We are not a substitute for professional legal or psychological advice, nor do we offer crisis support. If you are in immediate danger, please contact emergency services or a domestic violence support hotline in your area.
2. Eligibility
To use RedFlag, you must be:
16 years or older, or have parental/guardian consent;
A resident of Australia (or accept that the service is governed by Australian law);
Using RedFlag for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Upload illegal, offensive, defamatory, or misleading content.
Use RedFlag to impersonate others or deceive.
Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or exploit any part of our Services.
Use RedFlag in any way that causes harm to others or infringes upon their privacy.
Train AI models on our outputs or interface data without express permission.
You also agree that:
You retain ownership of content you upload, but grant us a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to process it for the purpose of providing our Services.
Our AI is informational only and may not be 100% accurate — insights should be viewed as support, not final judgment.
4. AI Outputs and Disclaimers
RedFlag provides automated analysis using AI. By design, this service is educational and supportive — not diagnostic or prescriptive.
We do not guarantee:
Accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of AI-generated content.
That the AI will detect all forms of abuse or harmful patterns.
Legal or therapeutic outcomes from using our services.
Use of RedFlag is at your own discretion and risk.
5. Data Handling and Privacy
By using RedFlag, you acknowledge and accept our Privacy Policy which governs how we collect, store, and use your information. Key points include:
AI processes are privacy-first and do not train on your data.
Uploaded content is encrypted and auto-deleted after a set retention period.
We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

6. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property related to RedFlag — including but not limited to our branding, code, AI models, design, and written content — is owned by RedFlag Pty Ltd or its licensors.
You may not:
Copy, reproduce, republish, or create derivative works.
Use any part of our services for commercial purposes without written consent.
7. Third-Party Services
RedFlag may integrate with or link to third-party tools (e.g., secure file upload, analytics, or external support services). We do not control and are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those services. Use them at your own risk.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to:
Suspend or terminate your access at any time for breach of these Terms;
Modify or discontinue the Services with or without notice;
Remove content we consider harmful, abusive, or illegal.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
RedFlag disclaims all warranties (express or implied), including fitness for a particular purpose.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including emotional distress, missed opportunities, or outcomes from decisions based on our AI analysis.
Our total liability is limited to AUD $100 or the amount paid by you (if any) in the past 12 months, whichever is lower.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the revised version and notify users of material changes.
Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
